Did you know most water heaters have a vacation setting? If yours does not have a vacation setting just set it to the lowest setting possible. Just remember to turn it on again as soon as you get home. Save energy, save money. A reminder when you do turn it back on to set it to no higher than 120* F to reduce to risk of scalding.
